Milton had more reason than a saint you look at it. That verse of "Paradise Lost" contains a huge metaphorical charge, which is the key point around which my thinking has pivoted much of the past years. This is not to develop a new theology, or anything like that. Rather, try to flesh out the concerns that have occupied my mind lately. Milton's verse contains an irrevocable truth: it easier for man to inhabit the darkness . Something is amiss in the world and whatever it is our responsibility to bring it to light.
