As I mentioned in previous post the Mercat restaurant Vilafranca del Penedes has all the conditions to be a good restaurant, good, nice and cheap, but we do not manage the Taste menu, a la carte options would have been the best choice. No objection to a good loaf of Forn Parés, crisp and excellent, like oil. After an appetizer of octopus bland with a hint of slightly bitter Campari that the final result.
parmentier As a first course of potato with low coción egg and black pudding and hard recremada dish normalillo, obviable.
A second, proper cooking and presentation, a hake on a bed of samfaina. A simple dish, properly executed but our memories will not gustiva.
The other dish and was otherwise an excellent cheek of beef with mushrooms served in a cocotte so popular in many restaurants, undoubtedly the best dish on the menu, tender, well executed.

Coffee, How hard is that you serve at a restaurant a good coffee?. As for the wine and champagne, a good representation of Penedes, other OJ, average prices and variety. The house wine by the glass was a Jean Leon Merlot, nothing special.
